The purpose of the letter is to provide you with a brief introduction to our company and to me in hopes that the products and services we provide might be of some value to your organization.

My name is Matt Rose. I am president of Techwood Precision Enterprises, Inc., which is a precision manufacturing job shop located in Macon, Georgia. I was born and raised in Rome, Georgia. I then went to Georgia Tech where I earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering in 1992. While working through school under the cooperative plan I never felt comfortable calling myself an “engineer” because I possessed no “hands on,” practical experience in the field. This feeling only magnified after graduation. Therefore, in 1993 I decided to add a trade to my resume. That’s what brought me to Techwood Precision Enterprises, Inc.. I started as an apprentice machinist and haven’t looked back since. In June of 2000 my wife and I purchased 100% of the company and began implementing new technology and practices, as well as learning what no text book can teach – how to successfully run a small business. This has proven to be the biggest hurdle, but the business has grown steadily and now proudly boasts sales in excess of $1,000,000.00 per year. In 2004 we acquired an additional 2,200 sq. ft. in an adjacent building and relocated our engineering department and set-up a production machining cell to help us process higher volume orders more efficiently.

Our current customer base is concentrated in the Middle Georgia area, but we do have customers located all over the country and have even shipped parts to Germany and Mexico. With modern technology and fast, reliable shipping methods distance is not a problem. Therefore, we welcome inquiries from anyone, anywhere. We promise to provide the same level of service to the unseen customers as we do those in our own backyard.
